Out of beta, fresh pricing, faster Quick Log (v0.5.4)

The beta tag is gone. The annual plan dropped to $36 a year. And Quick Log will not stop and call the AI again for foods you already log all the time.

Golden hour over a mountain range

This is a quiet milestone release.

The beta tag is gone. That little “alpha” and “beta” badge has been sitting on the logo for months. The app is past the point where those labels are honest. It works, it has paying users, the rough edges are getting smoothed instead of cut. So the tags are off.

The landing page got a small refresh to match. Cleaner hero, clearer copy on what the app actually does, fewer screenshots of half-built UI from earlier in development.

Pricing. The annual plan is now $36 a year, which works out to $3 a month. That is a 40 percent discount versus the monthly plan. If you have been paying month to month and you know you are going to keep using it, the math is now obvious.

Quick Log caching. This one is technical but you will feel it. When you tap a Quick Log item for a food you log all the time, the app used to round trip to the LLM to recompute the nutrition every time. Which sometimes meant the LLM would hallucinate slightly different values for the exact same item. That was bad. Now the nutrition for frequent items gets cached, so a tap on Quick Log goes straight into your log with the values you already approved. Faster, and consistent.

A few other small fixes shipped in the same release. The Playground now rate-limits free guests after three tries, so the AI bills do not spiral when a Reddit thread sends a thousand strangers at it. The Quick Log frequent items error from last week is also gone.

Thanks to everyone using the app through the beta. The app is in a place I am happy with. Now I can go fix the next round of things.
